Women’s Social Football (collaboration of Yorkshire St Pauli & Republica Internationale FC)
Women’s social football sessions are ideal for beginners or women* looking to get back into the game (*anyone who identifies as female or non-binary). Sessions run 1st & 3rd Saturday of every month, 1-2pm at Powerleague, Leeds Central, LS3 1LW for £1 a session.
The sessions will be informal, and a chance to play football in a fun, inclusive and supportive environment. We start by practising some basic skills and then play a game among all participants.
Initially the sessions will be twice a month (the 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month), with the capacity to increase the frequency if there is enough interest.
All abilities and backgrounds are welcome, and definitely no previous experience required!
Casual football sessions with additional adhoc social activities and matches
Any ability welcome and those with physical disabilities can participate in whatever way they feel they can.
Participants can be 18+, no formal childcare provided but if this reduces the accessibility, please get in touch as if there is enough demand, we may be able to arrange something.
All languages welcome, English is not essential for taking part and one of the coordinators works regularly with speakers of other languages.
If travelling to the location is difficult, get in touch and we may be able to arrange lifts or provide travel expenses. There is parking available outside the Office Outlet and bike racks.
Women’s toilets and changing rooms are available on site and participants can borrow kit, including boots if needed.
Can call back and text. Contact at any time
