People In Action
People In Action is a charity based in Leeds. We work with people with learning disabilities and autism to support happy, healthy and independent lives.
People In Action provide groups and courses for adults. One of these groups is the women’s Feel Good group.
This is a safe space where women will learn more about relationships, health and staying safe. The group is specifically for women with learning disabilities and gives them the freedom to ask questions and be part of a peer support group.
The topics covered include:
- Taking care of your body
- Having good relationships
- Keeping safe
- Being confident
- Making new friends
The Womens Health Matters ‘Feel Good’ group is a weekly session run for women who have learning disabilities.
The group is delivered by staff from Womens Health Matters, in partnership with People In Action.
