Latch provides supported housing for people who are homeless or in housing crisis and need support to set up and sustain their tenancy. We have 1, 2 and 3 bed homes mostly in Chapeltown and Harehills. All our homes are good quality, self-contained and furnished.
Tenants have their own Housing Support Worker who will help them to settle into their home and make the changes they want to make in their lives. Our housing is a stepping stone to independent living, tenants can stay for up to 3 years and are supported to move on to permanent housing.
Applications are made via our website. We do not have a waiting list and only accept applications when we have properties available.
Latch also has volunteering opportunities working on our empty home refurbishments. These are aimed at unemployed people who want to work in construction. Volunteers usually volunteer for one day per week, helping to turn a rundown empty house into a good quality home.
Supported housing. Volunteering on our housing refurbishments. Female Housing Support Workers available upon request.
Age 18-64. Most of our homes are not suitable for people with limited mobility due to steps and stairs.
