Health for All provides a range of services to communities in South Leeds (LS10 & 11). We support a large number of community groups – many are women/girls only – that exist to reduce isolation and build stronger communities.
Our Family Intervention Service supports families and has projects around domestic violence, women’s wellbeing and teenage girls.
The community groups we support work with various BAME groups, including women-only groups for Bangladeshi and other South Asian women and girls and women and their children from new and emerging communities through groups like Happy Global Families. Our Bangla Square Youth Project works with Bangladeshi girls aged 9-16 and Teenspirit Girls Group supports teenage girls.
We also support women-only community choirs, arts & crafts groups, activity groups around health and wellbeing and provide ESOL classes. We support a range of peer-support groups, such as kinship carers and breast-feeding mothers.
We work in partnership with Hamara and Asha in Leeds 10 & 11, who also provide women-only activities such as Zumba, swimming and cricket.
