Women’s Lives Leeds Project has been re-funded for the next three years.

Now into a fifth year of Empowering and Supporting Women to lead healthier and safer lives and providing opportunities for women to have a voice and influence in local and strategic decision making, the National Lottery Community Fund have demonstrated their commitment to Women’s Lives Leeds by refunding them and the Complex Needs Service for another three years.

Starting in the New Year, over the next three years, the WLL Alliance intends to take Service, Partnership, Strategic and Project Learning forward to drive local systems change; develop partnership and leadership opportunities for women; and to empower and enable them to both lead and develop better services for women, young women and girls.

The Project aims to share its existing service delivery learning to influence local systems change and its strategic learning to influence change beyond Leeds with the aim that other regional colleagues will take this learning and develop similar mechanisms, initiatives and activities.

In addition to making the WLL Alliance more robust and stronger by inviting more women’s centred organisations to join them, it will specifically focus on learning from the Complex Needs Service and testing and piloting initiatives through partnership working to inform more gendered-focussed service development and provision across Leeds. These outcomes will then be shared regionally.

Jeannette Morris-Boam Projects and Partnerships Director – Leeds Women’s Aid said:

“We are all really pleased and excited to be given the opportunity to develop, share and embed our learning with the aim that it will influence more gendered service design and opportunities for women and we are equally excited about sharing this our regional partners and neighbours too”.
