State of Women’s Health in Leeds Report – Third Sector briefing

In Partnership with Leeds City Council, Leeds Public Health, Leeds Becketts University and Third Sector Leeds, the Leeds Women and Girls Hub are hosting a briefing followed by a workshop for Third Sector organisations in Leeds, that will focus on the State of Women’s Health in Leeds Report, that was launched on International Women’s Day earlier this year.

The briefing will focus on the content of the report, go into more detail about its findings and will provide the opportunity to see how the voices of women have helped shaped the report supported by third sector case studies.

The briefing will cover the recommendations, which in turn will help to shape the content of the following workshop, where attendees will be given the opportunity to have discussions with colleagues to consider what it means for them in their own organisations, how they could take ownership of this report and will provide thinking space in how they could implement the recommendations, or use the data and detail provided to enable the development of services for women and girls across the city.

The report authors will be present, who will be available to take questions as part of the briefing, but also over refreshments and lunch.

This half-day briefing and workshop is for Leeds based Third Sector organisations and Commissioners/Funders/Partners as the Women and Girls Hub see this as an opportunity for the cities leaders to hear the voices of the third sector and to hear their views of the report and what they are considering to do.

The workshop will consist of round table conversations of which more information will follow closer to the day.

The event is FREE and will conclude with Lunch, so booking is advisable.

On the day registrations will start from 9.30am with a 10.00am start and the event will conclude with lunch at 1.00pm.
