Women’s Counselling and Therapy Service
About Women’s Counselling and Therapy Service:
Since 1982 Women’s Counselling and Therapy Service have offered therapy, care and additional support to women and girls in the Leeds area. Today, they offer a full and varied programme of community and educational initiatives, as well as free or low-cost psychotherapy for the most marginalised individuals. Staffed entirely by women and working only with women and families, they provide safe, supportive environments for their clients.
As well as providing trusted and effective therapy to women and girls, they work to improve awareness and understanding of women’s mental health issues among the public, employers and policymakers and reduce stigma, improve education and shape local and national strategy around this subject.
They offer individual therapy, where you can talk privately to one of their experienced psychotherapists about things like anxiety, phobias, stress, depression, guilt, low self-esteem, sexual abuse, violence or emotional abuse, bereavement, relationship breakdowns and more.
They also offer group therapy, where you can discuss your feelings and experiences in a small group, and art and drama therapy and more.
