About Together Women:
Together Women provides holistic services to women and girls with multiple and complex needs across Yorkshire, Humberside and the North of England. They provide gender specific support for women and girls that is flexible, responsive and dynamic. They provide support through their trained expert key workers workers and their safe, women-only spaces within their centres.
Through trained, expert Key Workers they support women to have their needs identified and addressed through one to one work, group therapy and/or signposting to external, specialist services who operate from their centres to provide clients with an holistic, all encompassing service.
Their centres offer safe, women-only spaces from which key workers and sessional staff provide needs assessment, action-planning, support and case management for women and girls referred by a number of different agencies. Centres also provide a wide range of group programmes, training, workshops and self-help groups on issues, such as domestic abuse, housing and homelessness, criminal justice and much more. Women and girls can access mentoring support from trained former clients called ‘peer mentors,’ encouraging them towards personal growth and development. Their centres also host co-located staff from other agencies (e.g. probation, alcohol/drug treatment, housing etc.) and work closely with statutory partners in criminal justice, health and social care.
They have women’s centres in Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield, Hull and HMP New Hall, as well as a social enterprise scheme at HMP Askham Grange. They also have hubs in Huddersfield, Wakefield and Halifax, which can be contacted through the Leeds hub.
